The City of SeaTac has immediate vacancies on the Planning Commission and Senior Citizen Advisory Committee, and is seeking volunteers.

The Planning Commission is to study and make recommendations to the City Council for adoption of long range comprehensive plans, policies, programs and services related to land use, transportation and community facilities. The Commission also studies and makes recommendations to the Council on a variety of development regulations. The Commission’s goal is to maintain and achieve the highest level of the City’s attributes so that all SeaTac citizens can enjoy and be proud to live in this community. Planning Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor and Council; the Commission consists of five members, each serving three year terms. Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at SeaTac City Hall.
SENIOR ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The Senior Citizen Advisory Committee consists of five members, each serving three-year terms. Committee members are appointed by the Mayor and City Council. The Senior Citizen Advisory Committee’s Mission is to work with the Staff Liaison to identify issues related to senior citizens in the community; act as an advisory body to the City Council and provide input through the City Manager and the Staff Liaison to the City Council on issues relating to SeaTac senior citizens; provide increased opportunities for community involvement by SeaTac senior citizens and the community in general; advise the City Council, through the City Manager and the Staff Liaison regarding the delivery of senior citizen programs and provide outreach to the community in an effort to develop and place senior citizen issues before the citizens of the City of SeaTac in a positive manner. Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at SeaTac Community Center.
