SeaTac man shot while sleeping in his bed Tuesday morning

An 18-year old SeaTac man was shot early Tuesday morning (Jan. 7) while sleeping in his bed.

Police say the incident started about 4 a.m. this morning at an apartment complex in the 3400 block of S. 176th Street.

“The victim said he was sleeping in his bedroom when someone started shooting through his window,” Sgt. Cindi West of the King County Sheriff’s Office said. “The victim was stuck once in the abdomen and then went to a neighbor’s apartment and asked them to call 911.”

When police arrived they found numerous bullet holes in the bedroom window and inside the house. A K-9 search was conducted but the suspect was not located.

The victim was transported to Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police do not have a suspect description at this time and do not believe the shooting was random.
