House fire displaces family of 7 in SeaTac


A family of seven has been forced out of their house following a fire in the 19000 block of 32nd Ave South in SeaTac.

Firefighters from the Kent Fire Department Regional Fire Authority, along with Burien, Tukwila, and South King Fire and Rescue responded to the call shortly after Noon on Friday, April 18.

When they arrived on scene, firefighters found smoke and flames coming from the front door of the two story house.

After learning that everyone had self- evacuated, firefighters attacked the fire which was in a front room. Although the fire was controlled in a few minutes, there was extensive smoke and heat damage throughout the house.

No one was injured in the fire, which is under investigation.

Red Cross was brought in to assist the family.

It does not appear that there were any working smoke alarms in the home.
