The Cactus Speaks: 2015 Looking No Better Than 2014

Welcome to 2015 and the continuing decrease of IQ of our Public Officials both elected and staff. They didn’t get all they wanted for Christmas, I’m still here and other vocal Citizens continue to demand accountability and the ability to balance a budget. Santa did provide them with a 6 percent utility tax, $2 million cost overrun on the Military Road Project and a possible loss of another $500K annually if the Port goes through will creating their own Surface Water Management utility. Further they just proudly announced a new $3.8 million Fire Station, which, if memory serves me correctly the last $4 million fire station (#46) cost us $7.5 million. Presents for them equals lumps of coal for the rest of us.

Un-elected Mayor Gregerson continues to hold two elected offices (lousy at both in my opinion). The location of the Council Chambers continues to elude Council Member Tony “phone it in” Anderson who was approved for $2.8 K of more travel (on our dime). For some reason some SeaTac Council Members think they were appointed to the United Nations versus elected to the SeaTac City Council.

The Council really had nothing interesting to say (unless you like endless self promotion) except Council Member Bush breaking the law by illegally speaking (RCW 42.17A.555) in favor of the Highline School Bond issue without a Resolution or Public opportunity to speak, so I will write about Public Comment where no one broke the law and had relevant things to say.

Citizen Vicki Lockwood pointed out the fallacy of Social Justice mandates/filters/priority for resources presented by King County during the Council retreat and how it goes against equal treatment and equal opportunity and goes to a separatist ideology. She requested that the SeaTac Council reject these filters as it promotes dependence and an entitlement mentality. She also requested that un-elected Mayor Gregerson not serve as Mayor while she is also a legislator and the Council appoint someone else since she publicly stated she would do what is best for the district versus what is best for the City.

Personally I would like her to resign from both positions and change zip codes considering what her emails/actions reveal what she really thinks of her SeaTac constituents.

National Small Business Award Winner, Mike Condon, owner of SeaTac’s Mike’s Community Cup spoke about the 600 percent increase in his business license and that the alleged small business friendly City of SeaTac (per our ridiculous Council majority’s opinion) is anything but and contemplating relocating elsewhere as others have already done and more are considering it. Same clientele just outside the incompetent City limits. In Council comments, Council Member Ladenburg lauded Condon for his award and how much he has contributed to SeaTac and the community. Then why did he vote for the increase? All I can say Mike is cover your ass. Not because of anything you have done or said but because Council Member Ladenburg will be chasing you around town trying to attach his lips to it. And who wants that?

By the way I did send a letter to the Council, Clerk, City Manager, etc (and copied the PDC) pointing out the specific law that Council Member Bush broke but I doubt this Majority Council cares, however Council Member Fernald did call me (and I know she cares) and apologized for not catching it when it happened. No one else responded. Par.

We Citizens of SeaTac deserve a change of leadership in 2015. How much more abuse will it take?

  1. Mike Condon says:

As a advocate for small businesses, it saddens me to continue to see the city manager, and majority of the city council denounce the importance of small business, related to successful communities. The council members who ran on a ticket of being pro small business, have done nothing to support their campaign promises. My hope is that the citizens of SeaTac see what they have done to kill small business in the community, and vote them out during the next election. Yes I can be outspoken on my beliefs of how important small business are to communities, but facts are facts when small city politicians kill off these businesses, the rest of the community is left footing those tax bills, so they will be taking more taxes from the people who can least afford it.

This example is the continued wasteful spending and puttng our city a path of insolvency. The City of Des Moines is now bankrupt. SeaTac is next by 2016.

The following concern expressed by Mr Gipson was brought on bySeaTac City employee Pat Patterson who is married to that crazy ex King County Council member Julia Patterson. Pat received a big fat raise/bonus for the overrun and the Washington State auditors office investigated the raise/bonus and Pat acting as a contractor for the city. Found it illegal and Mr Gipson asked him to return the extra cash to the citizens. He still refuses 6 years later to pay the bread back to the city.

Tony Anderson has to avoid the council meetings face to face with the citizens and Mia Gregerson becasue they have a love affair going on with Port of Seatle emails and both need their fix. See http://www.takeseatacback.org

Enough said over citizens drinking toilet water from Gregerson. See http://www.seataccoverup.com There is more juicy emails. This addresses the next paragraph.

Can a citizen of SeaTac perform a citizens arrest of Dave Bush for the following. We need this council member to take a perp walk out of the city. Give him to Des Moines and let the barncles eat at his brain that is mathematically inclined.

A question for The SeaTac Blog? What happened to the post from Dorinda about Miss Little Suicide?

First take away the power of the prosecutors office.
Take their immunity away. Put them in jail.
    That gang of …
    Control the City.
    Now you have been told.
The police arrest…The prosecutors do the rest.
    These people are under contract.
They do not work for the people.
    Just the council. Good Luck.
    People of SeaTac.
