Tukwila Int’l Blvd. station neighborhood planning workshop will be Feb. 23-25

A “kick-off” event for Sound Transit’s Tukwila International Boulevard (TIB) Light Rail Station is scheduled for Feb. 23-25.

This station is located just across the street from SeaTac at S. 154th Street.

The City of Tukwila is beginning a process to revise development rules and focus public and private investments to further their 2015 TIB Neighborhood Plan, which focuses on the Tukwila side of International Boulevard.

This 3-day workshop will be led by professionals from the Congress for New Urbanism (www.CNU.org), a national organization whose mission is “building places people love.” The CNU team will be seeking input regarding what should be done to create a vibrant and walkable neighborhood.

Here is a link to the flyer for this activity: TIB workshop flyer (PDF file).

City of SeaTac residents and businesses are encouraged to attend either or both of the two public sessions.
