Community Meeting on Fire Station 47 relocation will be Wed., Sept. 20

SeaTac and the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority will host a Community Meeting from 5:30 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at Fire Station 47 located at 3215 S. 152nd Street (map below).

The meeting is for residents to learn more about the upcoming relocation of Station 47 to Station 46.

Attendees at the meeting will have an opportunity to ask questions regarding the relocation and timeline, and learn about other options that were explored.

City Manager Joseph Scorcio commented:

“This is an opportunity for the community to get more information on the study and options which led to this relocation decision. It’s also the last opportunity for the community to visit the facility built in 1966. The building is technologically and structurally deficient and requires expensive upgrades. This is the right time for Station 47 to be relocated to the newer, larger and more efficient Station 46 located on South 170th Street.”
