‘Holiday of Hope’ fundraiser will be at Gregory’s on Friday, Dec. 1

Please bring your caring and generous spirit, along with your delightful personalities, to the annual ‘Holiday of Hope’ fundraiser event on Friday, Dec. 1, and let’s have some holiday FUN!

This is a perfect opportunity to get together with friends and neighbors, bust out your karaoke chops, enter a raffle with your donation for some nifty prizes, and contribute to a great community cause all at the same time and place!

Just bring an unwrapped toy for a child valued around $25 (no stuffed animals please), a gift card for $25 from Ross, Old Navy, Kohl’s, Game Stop, or a cash donation. Need some gift ideas? I do have a list of the most requested toys for 2017 and I would be happy to email or send it to you. Wrapping paper and supplies also welcome!

For those of you who are not able to join us but would still like to donate, please contact me and I will email you the Angle Lake Family Resource Center (a program of Lutheran Community Services NW) Holiday of Hope letter which has a link for donating online as well as instructions for donating by check. Any and all of your contributions are tax deductible. Toys can also be dropped off at the Angle Lake Family Resource Center from 9-5, Monday through Friday.

So, dust off your angel wings, dig out that Ugly Christmas Sweater, and let’s get together to bring some JOY! to all SeaTac children in need.

WHEN: FRIDAY, December 1st, 2017, 7:30-10:00pm

WHERE: GREGORY’S at the Red Lion Hotel, 18220 International Blvd., SeaTac

Here’s more info:

Many of us look forward to the holiday season – family and friends together, the hustle and bustle of the holidays, and the surprises under the tree. There is such joy in seeing a child open a toy that was picked out for them by someone they love! For some families this can be a tough time of year as they make choices between paying an electricity bill or getting presents for their kids. This year we invite you to partner with us to put gifts under the tree for these families, bringing that joy into homes of children in SeaTac. Please consider becoming a supporter of Holiday of Hope, an event which provides holiday gifts to struggling families and children in our community.

Holiday of Hope is truly unique in that we allow parents to personally select gifts to give to their children for the holidays. We hope, with your support, to provide toys and gifts to over 600 children in our area!

All donations are tax deductible, so please consider giving, by December 6th, in the following ways:

  • Donate money to the Holiday of Hope Fund. Your donation allows us to buy gifts for younger children and gift cards from Ross, Old Navy, Kohl’s, or Game Stop for children 12 to 18 years of age
  • Donate gift cards in $25.00 increments from Ross, Old Navy, Kohl’s, or Game Stop
  • Organize a toy drive in your place of business or purchase toys to donate
  • Volunteer to help families pick out and wrap gifts at the annual Holiday of Hope event on December 16, 2017 from 10-4pm

The work we do together has a powerful impact not only on the families we help, but also on the community at large. When community comes together to help others in need, we all benefit!

We are completely reliant on donations in order to continue to provide our holiday gift program. Any amount you can share is greatly appreciated and put to good use. We need to collect all donations by December 6th. This year all donations can be made through the Angle Lake Family Resource Center (a program of Lutheran Community Services NW, Tax ID #93-0386860). Whether you donated through Madrona PTA or LCSNW in the past, your donations will still be going toward supporting students attending seven local schools, as well as those that receive services through the Angle Lake Family Resource Center. Your donation makes a huge difference for the families and children of SeaTac!

Online donations can be made at: https://lcsnw.ejoinme.org/AngleLakeDonationPage, please note “Holiday of Hope” in the comments section.
