SeaTac Community Leadership Academy will run April 2 through May 21

The City of SeaTac is presenting the third annual Community Leadership Academy this spring to broaden and enhance community involvement while sharing information about how city government operates. We have received very positive feedback from participants.

The academy will include presentations by city officials responsible for services ranging from public safety and street maintenance to the local court system, policy making, and budgeting. All City departments participate in the interactive information sessions.

Most of the sessions will occur at City Hall, 4800 South 188th Street. Two offsite sessions are scheduled: one at Fire Station 46 and one at the Maintenance Facility.

The eight session academy will take place Monday evenings from 6:00-8:00 PM beginning April 2 and running through May 21, culminating in an awards presentation at the June 12 City Council meeting.

Participation is open to SeaTac residents, business owners, service providers, and to students 18 years or older who live, work or attend school in SeaTac. A minimum of 10 participants is needed to move forward with the spring 2018 session and the class size will be limited to a maximum of 20.
