SeaTac Spring Chess Championship will be Saturday, March 24

A Spring Chess Championship will be held at the SeaTac Community Center on Saturday, March. 24.

  • All chess programs are FREE
  • All kids are welcome
  • Each SeaTac elementary school competes, with their top five scoring players used in the tally

Last year’s champions – Hilltop Elementary – will face some tough competition with Bow Lake Elementary showing early dominance in the Veterans’ Day tournament.

Other Events:

  • Quads (1 Thursday per month): Players from all schools meet for Quads on Thursdays.  Quads are a mini tournament where players are grouped by their chess rating (not age) in groups of four. Players play each other player in their group.  The player with the most points in their quad at the end of the night wins a trophy. We will also continue our Chess Challenge Testing during the
