One of the most difficult things businesses (and all of us really) must contend with in our current fast paced and sometimes frenetic world, is getting your story or your message across to a wide audience clearly and efficiently. This is important because the more people learn and understand who you are and why you do it, the broader your reach and customer base will be.

We know one of the most effective ways to tell your story, is in person. Either directly, or indirectly through social selling. However, that can also be very time extensive. Think direct marketing or door to door or business to business marketing. That is why at the Chamber we try and provide our members with more opportunities to network, build their base and do so efficiently and effectively. That is one of the main reasons we host a Business Showcase Luncheon annually.

BUSINESS SHOWCASE LUNCHEON IS THIS FRIDAY, OCT. 12
This is the one event we host every year where businesses can reserve a table, and literally “showcase” who they are and what they do. With over 100 attendees and thousands more watching through our Facebook live feed with our media partnership with South King Media, businesses are guaranteed an opportunity to tell their story themselves and reach out and grow their customer base. Spots are still available for local businesses that would like to take advantage of the opportunity to network and tell their story.

Here are a few other quick ideas to help improve your marketing and communication plan and ensure your story is told the way you want:

  1. Know your Brand – your logo, fonts, colors, and content strategy should all communicate who you are and what you do.
  2. Dialogue not monologue – use authentic conversations that are engaging and informative to build brand trust.
  3. Social Media is not one size fits all – Social Media Marketing should reflect who and where your audience is.

Many of the above ideas and concepts were outlined and discussed with Emma Oglesby our Marketing and Communication Director at one of our morning networking events that we call our Morning Buzz. These casual information sharing and networking events are open to guests and free for members. Coffee and pastries are on us.
