Police Chief Cole now a final City Manager Candidate; special meeting Nov. 14

The SeaTac City Council will be holding a Special Council Meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018 to interview City Manager Candidate – current SeaTac Police Chief Carl Cole.

The Public meeting is scheduled from 5-6 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 4800 South 188th Street.

The community will have an opportunity to meet and ask questions of Cole.

A new City Manager will be replacing current City Manager Joseph Scorcio, who is retiring in 2019 after spending nearly six years with the City of SeaTac including time as the Community and Economic Development Director.

Chief Cole joined the King County Sheriff’s Office in 1991. During his tenure, Chief Cole served in numerous operational, investigative, and administrative assignments until eventually promoting to Chief of the SeaTac Police Department. Chief Cole graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and minors in Religion and Biology. Cole continued his education with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Dan Evans School at the University of Washington. In addition, Cole, earned numerous Career Level Certifications through the agency executive level from the Criminal Justice Training Commission.
