SUMMARY:Fine Art exhibit will be at SeaTac Community Center Oct. 4–29
DESCRIPTION:The City of SeaTac will be presenting a Fine Art exhibit at the SeaTac Community Center between Oct. 4 – 29\, 2021\, to show quality artwork by regional artists and to purchase work for their permanent collection. \nViewing the artwork is free and art pieces will be for sale. \nThe art exhibit will be run from Oct. 4-29 at the SeaTac Community Center during regular hours of operation: Monday-Thursday\, 8:30 a.m.-9:00 p.m.; Friday\, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; and closed on Saturday and Sunday. \nFor artists entering pieces into the exhibit\, the entry fee is $20 per entry with a maximum of two entries. Art registration will be on Monday\, Sept. 27 at the SeaTac Community Center between 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. To be eligible for an Art Purchase Award\, a piece must be for sale at a price not to exceed $750. DESCRIPTION:“Green SeaTac Day” will be Saturday\, Oct. 16\, 2021 at North SeaTac Park\, and Volunteers are needed: \nCelebrate SeaTac’s forests and leave a legacy – plant a tree!\nVolunteers are needed to recognize and celebrate restoration efforts via “Green SeaTac Day” within North SeaTac Park on Oct. 16\, which will include an opportunity to plant native plants in restoration areas (10:30 a.m. to Noon). \n“Coming out to plant with us is one of the best ways to give back to your local forest and your neighbors. Help us to build healthy habitat and build a healthy community by taking part in Green SeaTac Day.” \nJoin for a short program from 10-10:30 a.m. to recognize and celebrate restoration efforts within North SeaTac Park\, followed by an opportunity to plant native plants in restoration areas 10:30 a.m. to Noon. \nPLEASE RSVP\nAll ages\, identities\, and experience levels welcome.
