DESCRIPTION:The City of SeaTac will be presenting a Fine Art exhibit at the SeaTac Community Center between Oct. 4 – 29\, 2021\, to show quality artwork by regional artists and to purchase work for their permanent collection. \nViewing the artwork is free and art pieces will be for sale. \nThe art exhibit will be run from Oct. 4-29 at the SeaTac Community Center during regular hours of operation: Monday-Thursday\, 8:30 a.m.-9:00 p.m.; Friday\, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.; and closed on Saturday and Sunday. \nFor artists entering pieces into the exhibit\, the entry fee is $20 per entry with a maximum of two entries. Art registration will be on Monday\, Sept. 27 at the SeaTac Community Center between 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. To be eligible for an Art Purchase Award\, a piece must be for sale at a price not to exceed $750. DESCRIPTION:A Fall Recycling Event will be held near Valley Ridge Park/Tyee High School (map below) this Saturday\, Oct. 23\, 2021\, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  \nThis free event will provide anyone the opportunity to discard goods to be recycled. \nMaterials to be collected for free are: secure document shredding\, scrap metal\, porcelain\, motor oil\, tires\, anti-freeze\, household goods\, Styrofoam\, plastic bags\, batteries\, CFL light Bulbs\, electronics\, plastic film and paint\, including latex\, oil based and stains/varnish. \nOrganizers are also requesting the following precautions be met: \n\n\n\nWe strongly discourage you from attending if you are at increased risk of complications due to COVID-19 – This includes people 60 years or older\, and those with underlying medical conditions.\nDon’t attend if you are sick or exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19\, or if someone in your household is.\nStay in your vehicle and follow directions by staff.\nIf you must get out of your vehicle\, keep at least six feet of space between yourself and others.\nDo not touch your face.\nWash your hands for at least 20 seconds frequently when possible or use alcohol-based sanitizer as an alternative if handwashing is not available.\nWe encourage you to wear a face mask\nPlease be patient as delays can be expected due to event staff maintaining social distancing and customers holding on to items during the “Stay Home\, Stay Healthy” order.\n\n\n\n \nMore info here: https://www.facebook.com/events/582721776083989/ \nThe event will be held at 4424 S. 188th Street:
