The DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day will be this Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, with unused prescription drugs being collected at SeaTac City Hall from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
“As we continue to address COVID-19, there are still a number of ways we can protect our families from the ongoing opioid epidemic – starting with our own medicine cabinets,” organizers said.
RALI WA (a coalition working to address our state’s opioid crisis) is highlighting several ways to participate, including tips on how to dispose of opioids at home:
Visit the Take Back Day Site Locator to find a location where you can bring unwanted, expired, or unused prescriptions on October 24.
Find a drug take back center in your community where you can dispose of medications any time.
Check out the RALI Washington site for tips on safely storing medications, as well as how to use household materials like coffee grounds or cat litter to safely dispose of unused medications.
