The Washington State Patrol is investigating a road rage incident in which a gunshot was fired from a red Tesla toward another vehicle on northbound I-5 near South 188th Street early Saturday morning.
According to a news release, the incident occurred around 6:35 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025 when the driver of a red Tesla reportedly sped up behind a silver Chevrolet Traverse and followed it aggressively after the Chevrolet changed lanes.
The Tesla then pulled alongside the Chevrolet and someone inside fired a single round from a semi-automatic handgun.

Troopers responded to the area after the victim called 911.
Washington State Patrol detectives are now asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect vehicle or driver.
They are particularly interested in hearing from anyone with dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident.
