Downtown Kent will transform into “Little Louisiana” on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, when the Kent Downtown Partnership hosts its annual Cajun and Creole Fest from 2 to 7 p.m.
The free, family-friendly festival invites visitors to “dance, dine and have a ragin’ Cajun good time,” with a day of Zydeco and blues music, Southern-inspired food, art, and kids’ activities.
Organizers say the goal is to transform historic Downtown Kent into “Little Louisiana,” showcasing the vibrant culture and hospitality of the South.
Attendees can enjoy Cajun and Creole food trucks, a beer and wine garden, artisan vendors, and a dedicated kids’ activity area.
“Experience the soul and culture of Louisiana right here in downtown Kent,” the Kent Downtown Partnership said. “From the music and dancing to the flavors and art, this festival brings the heart of the bayou to the Pacific Northwest.”
