The City of SeaTac is inviting residents to roll up their sleeves and help restore local parks through its Forest Steward Program.
An information session will be held Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the SeaTac Community Center for anyone interested in adopting a park and taking part in restoration projects.
“This is your chance to adopt a park and help plant trees and shrubs, mulch, and water — you can even host a community restoration event,” the city announced in its program invitation.
For those ready to take part right away, the next volunteer opportunity will be Saturday, Sept. 13, from 9 a.m. to noon at the monthly restoration event at North SeaTac Park.
The city said the program is designed to give residents “ownership of an area in a park that you love,” while also keeping public green spaces healthy and thriving.
