On this Thanksgiving Day, we want to pause and say something simple, direct, and deeply felt:

THANK YOU!

Thank you to the thousands of readers who check in with us every month, and to those who turn to us in moments of joy, concern, confusion, breaking news or celebration.

And – on the verge of South King Media’s 18th birthday(!) – an especially huge THANKS to all the local businesses who advertise with us – without you, we wouldn’t exist!

Thank you to the neighbors who send tips, share stories, correct us when we need correcting, and remind us why real, local journalism still matters.

In south King County, community is not an abstract word. It is school volunteers and small business owners. It is families who have lived here for generations and those who arrived yesterday. It is people who care enough to show up, speak up, lend a hand, and look out for one another.

We are incredibly grateful to be part of that.

Local journalism only works when the community believes in it, supports it, and participates in it. Every email, news tip, every letter to the editor, every shared photo, every comment, every thoughtful question you ask us throughout the year helps us tell the story of our beloved community with honesty and heart.

On behalf of all of us at South King Media:

Thank you for reading.
Thank you for advertising.
Thank you for supporting local journalism.

Wishing you and your loved ones a warm, safe, and meaningful Thanksgiving.
