The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the person who died in a crash Sunday night, Dec. 14 on SR 509 in Burien.

The victim was Logan Alexander Genzale, 18, of Normandy Park, according to the medical examiner’s office.

As The B-Town Blog previously reported, the tragic, fatal single-vehicle crash occurred Sunday night, Dec. 14 on southbound SR 509 near milepost 25.1, near South 156th Street.

The medical examiner said Genzale died from multiple blunt force injuries. The manner of death was listed as an accident.

The fatal injuries occurred as Genzale’s vehicle was traveling southbound on SR 509, passed another vehicle on the right shoulder, lost control and struck a tree, then hit a building before spinning, hitting a second tree and coming to rest facing the wrong direction on the shoulder.

The crash remains under investigation by the Washington State Patrol, officials said.
