The King County Medical Examiner’s Office on Monday, Mar. 16 identified the woman who died in a three-vehicle crash on I-5 in SeaTac early Sunday as Nadezhda S. Gorbachenko, a 72-year-old SeaTac resident.

According to the medical examiner, Gorbachenko died after suffering multiple blunt force injuries in a collision on southbound I-5 near milepost 152 in SeaTac.

As we previously reported, the tragic, fatal crash shut down southbound I-5 near South 200th Street in SeaTac for more than four hours. It is being investigated by the Washington State Patrol.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and the freeway was closed while investigators worked the crash site before lanes reopened later that morning.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Washington State Patrol.
