REMINDER: Residents are invited to attend the City of SeaTac’s 2026 “State of the City” event on Wednesday, June 3, where city leaders will highlight accomplishments from the past year, discuss future plans and provide an update on upcoming budget challenges.

The free, family-friendly event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Roadhouse at Angle Lake Station (map below). It coincides with the grand opening of the city’s summer Farmers Market, which will operate from 3 to 7 p.m. outside the venue.

This event will focus on major initiatives completed or launched during the past year, including the purchase of the future site of the city’s planned International Village and implementation efforts related to Envision SeaTac 2044.

“A year of progress. From the purchase of the future site of our new International Village to the implementation of Envision SeaTac 2044, the past year has been one of substantial groundwork,” the city said in announcing the event.

City officials also plan to discuss preparations for major international soccer events coming to the region this summer and provide updates on three free community gathering sites expected to open soon.

In addition, officials will outline the city’s approach to developing its 2027-2028 budget.

“Like many cities across Washington, SeaTac is preparing its 2027/2028 budget,” the city said. “We’ll share more about the path forward and what it means for you and our City.”

The city is encouraging residents to attend, ask questions and learn more about decisions that will shape the community’s future.

The event will also feature live music, free snacks and giveaways including soccer balls and backpacks.

SeaTac’s Farmers Market grand opening will take place immediately before and during the event, giving attendees an opportunity to shop and participate in both activities.

The 2026 State of the City will be held at The Roadhouse at Angle Lake Station and is free to attend.
