There will be road closures for the next two days on the western portion of SeaTac as crews work to complete the intersection improvements for the Des Moines Memorial Drive S. and S. 200th Street.
Construction is entering the final phase for the City of SeaTac’s Des Moines Memorial Drive South and South 200th Street Intersection Improvement Project. Construction began on Monday, Oct. 28, 2019 and is estimated to be completed by October 1, 2020.
Starting Thursday, Aug. 27, 2020 and extending through Friday, Aug. 28, crews will be shutting down lanes along Des Moines Memorial Drive South and South 200th Street for final asphalt paving work. Single lane closures shall be between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Drivers are advised to please find alternate routes during this period to avoid backups as these lane closures will significantly impact drive time though the project area.
King County Metro previously relocated a pair of bus stops in this intersection to accommodate construction for this project. However, there will be times when these stops may need to close to allow crews to complete improvements. Please visit King County Metro for additional information regarding impacts to Routes 122 and 156.
