On Monday afternoon, April 15, 2024, a group of protestors shut down the access road to Sea-Tac Airport.
Reports were that demonstrators laid down and blocked both directions of the SR 518 off-ramps to Airport Drive, causing delays and traffic backups for travelers.
Travelers coming to the airport were urged to use alternate routes or take Light Rail and public transit.

Port of Seattle Police continue to detain those involved. A handful are left. Four cars still left to tow. Those stuck behind this are being allowed to drive their cars the wrong way on the expressway to get out of area.
