REMINDER: The City of SeaTac is inviting community members to Volunteer at ‘Green SeaTac Day’ this Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024, to help restoration efforts at North SeaTac Park and plant native plants in the park’s restoration areas.
This event provides an opportunity for participants of all ages to leave a lasting impact on the city’s forests.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., with 11 of the 50 available participant slots already filled (register at the link below).
Attendees are encouraged to wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes, long sleeves, and pants—clothes that they don’t mind getting dirty.
While a limited number of work gloves will be provided, participants are asked to bring their own gloves if possible.
All other necessary tools will be supplied on-site.
Participants should meet at the corner of S. 136th St. and Des Moines Memorial Drive (map below). Parking is available at Sunset Park at 13800 16th Ave S., either in the lot or along the shoulder of 16th Ave S. Attendees will need to walk north to cross S. 136th St., following event signage for guidance.
