JOIN US for the first ever SeaTac Winter Market on Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Roadhouse (19955 28th Ave S, SeaTac, WA 98188; map below), right off the Angle Lake Light Rail Station!

Building on the success of the SeaTac Farmers Market pilot program, the SeaTac Winter Market is ramping up to be an exciting, heart-warming celebration of local culture and community.

The winter market will follow the same model as the SeaTac Farmers Market, with a focus on highlighting BIPOC-owned businesses offering products from cultures across the globe. This event is a program of local Black-women-led nonprofit African Community Housing and Development (ACHD).

In collaboration with the City of SeaTac, the market will showcase a diverse roster of local vendors offering a range of unique foods and products that are sure to satisfy any palate. Acclaimed kora musician Pa Bobo Jobarte will take the stage for a special live performance from 4-8 pm, offering a captivating experience of traditional West African music right here in SeaTac.

In addition to vendor offerings, there will be a wealth of community resources available, including free local produce, essential supplies, and activities for all ages. For the first time in ACHD market history, local hairstylists will be offering free haircuts for all youth, and massage therapists will provide complimentary massages for all attendees. Don’t miss this special chance to treat yourself and your little ones while supporting our vibrant community!

Attendees can look forward to a lively market atmosphere, featuring a mix of beloved returning vendors and exciting new faces. You’ll find a variety of locally grown produce, nourishing meals, creative baked goods, and one-of-a-kind handmade artisan crafts. Even in the heart of winter, our farmers will offer fresh seasonal vegetables like daikon radishes, collard greens, kale, frozen blueberries, and more.

Enjoy delicious hot food offerings from Latino, Caribbean, and Pacific Island cultures featuring Torogoz Café, Bajan Station, and Tolu Seattle. We’ll have kombucha and other fermented drinks by Seeking Ferments, handmade holiday pies by Grayseas Pies, and other unique items like Ethiopian hot sauces and seasoning blends.

For some holiday shopping inspiration, browse unique handmade items from our talented artisans, including body care products, original art prints and beautiful handwoven African baskets. To support small businesses, we proudly charge no vendor fees, ensuring that each vendor keeps 100% of their revenues.

Whether you’re coming to enjoy the free live music, shop for unique gifts, or to try a new cuisine for the first time—all are welcome at the SeaTac Winter Market!

“Come together into community and enjoy the festive spirit of the season with your families. We look forward to seeing you there!”
