Two people were shot on a King County Metro bus in Tukwila on Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, prompting a heavy police response and the closure of Southcenter Boulevard as authorities searched for suspects.
According to KING 5 News, one victim suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen, while another was shot in the leg. Their conditions have not been released.
Authorities closed Southcenter Boulevard in the 4500 block (map below) while officers worked at the scene.
Police said that several suspects fled from the area, and a K-9 unit was deployed to assist in the search.
The King County Sheriff’s Office Metro Unit is leading the investigation.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and authorities have not yet released any suspect descriptions.
The investigation is ongoing, and updates will be provided as more details emerge.
