SeaTac will mark Earth Day with a community celebration and the unveiling of a new trailhead at Des Moines Creek Park this Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to the City of SeaTac.

The event will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. at the park, located at 2151 S. 200th Street (map below), officially opening the new trailhead to the public.

City officials said the celebration will include a range of family friendly activities, including:

  • Free seed giveaway
  • Crafts and face painting for children
  • Opportunity to help name and release baby salmon into the creek.
