The City of SeaTac is inviting residents and community volunteers to participate in the Great SeaTac Scrubdown on Saturday, May 30, at Angle Lake Park.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. and will focus on community building, litter removal and friendly competition as volunteers work to help clean up the city ahead of a busy year for visitors.

“The world is coming to SeaTac this year and we want to make sure we’re ready,” the city said in its event announcement.

City officials said volunteer participation during the cleanup effort will help make “a huge difference” in preparing the community and public spaces.

The event will be held at Angle Lake Park (map below).
