Getting everyone to the game, practice or community event isn’t always easy—especially when you’re coordinating a group. That’s where King County Metro’s Community Van can help.

This rugby season, the Seattle Seawolves are partnering with Metro to spotlight Community Van as a flexible, affordable way for teams, families and community groups in Tukwila to travel together. Whether you’re heading to a match at Starfire Sports Complex, a medical appointment, or a local event, Community Van offers a convenient alternative to driving separately or renting a vehicle.

Community Van is a reservation-based rideshare service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in 17 cities throughout King County. Groups can request trips within participating cities, with destinations up to two hours away. All you need is a volunteer driver—who rides for free — with trips scheduled at least two business days in advance, making it easy to plan ahead with confidence.

Metro provides the van, gas, insurance and maintenance, helping reduce costs and making group travel more accessible and stress-free. Youth ride free, adult fares are $3 with your monthly ORCA card or Transit GO ticket app, and reduced fares are available for seniors and ORCA LIFT riders.

Through the partnership, the Seawolves will help raise awareness of Community Van through matchday promotions, social media and community events in Tukwila, connecting more South King County residents with this flexible and affordable transportation option.

Looking for a simpler way to get your group where it needs to go – or interested in volunteering as a driver? Community Van makes it easy to travel together and stay connected.
