Residents in SeaTac looking to buy a home or access housing resources will have an opportunity later this month at a free community forum hosted by the city.

The City of SeaTac is inviting the public to attend a Housing Forum on Wednesday, April 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the SeaTac Community Center (map below), where attendees can learn about programs and services aimed at helping residents navigate the path to homeownership.

Residents can get help starting the path to homeownership and learn more about:

  • Rental assistance options.
  • Financial assistance for minor home improvements.
  • How to use a King County housing voucher to help qualify for a home purchase.
  • Laws on accessory dwelling units (ADUs) and options for generating extra income.
  • Down payment assistance through support from the Covenant Homeownership program.

The forum will include details on rental resources, free minor home repair programs for qualifying residents, housing improvement grants and other affordable housing options.

City officials said food and refreshments will be provided, along with coloring activities for children.

Please register at the Eventbrite page.

“We look forward to seeing you there and supporting you every step of the way.”
