The Des Moines Area Food Bank has announced its 2026 Summer Food Service Program, which will provide free meals to children ages 1 to 18 at multiple sites throughout the area starting Thursday, June 18.
According to the food bank, meals will be available at no charge during the summer months to help ensure children have access to nutritious food while school is out of session.
The Des Moines Area Food Bank said any updates or changes to meal service times, dates or locations will be posted on its website at www.myfoodbank.org/summermeals.html.
The organization is encouraging families throughout Des Moines, SeaTac and surrounding South King County communities to take advantage of the program and help spread awareness about the free meal opportunities available to local children.
