Meet sweet senior Nonna, RASKC’s Pet of the Week!

Ten-year-old Nonna was brought to RASKC by her previous owner on June 21 because they were facing homelessness. Nonna lived in a home with men, women, and children, and did well with the resident cats.

Nonna is an absolute couch potato! She loves being next to people and just napping the day away. She is about 70 pounds and pretty overweight so would benefit from some weight loss. Nonna’s eyesight is not the greatest, so she is not a huge fan of going on long walks.

One of RASKC’s volunteer dog walkers shared that Nonna is a very happy girl who has the best smile and snorts when she is excited. If you sit down with her, she’ll try to climb right up into your lap!

Nonna is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. She is an adaptable dog who loves to go with the flow. Nonna is outgoing and carefree, and she just can’t wait to find her forever home!

Adoption Fees Discounted Until Sept. 10

During the national Clear the Shelters campaign, all adoption fees for dogs (and cats) at RASKC are $30 until September 10. Nonna’s adoption comes with benefits above and beyond the love and companionship she will provide, including 30 days of opt-in health insurance through Trupanion and a discount on training through GoodPup.

If you are looking for sweet dog to add to your family, come meet Nonna! RASKC is open weekdays from Noon to 5 p.m. and weekends from Noon to 4 p.m. and is located at 21615 64th Ave S. in Kent (map below).
