The Y Social Impact Center is set to host a lively rodeo-themed event this Friday, Aug. 16, 2024 at the Matt Griffin YMCA in SeaTac (map below).

The event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., will celebrate the hard-working and culturally diverse history of rodeo and cowboy culture, while also embracing the current trends in music and fashion.

Participants are encouraged to embrace the theme by donning cowboy hats, jeans, and boots, though rodeo attire is not mandatory.

The event promises to be a fun-filled day with a variety of activities, including a chuckwagon-style lunch and live music provided by a DJ.

The event is supported by sponsors foundry10, Boston Consulting Group, and Deloitte, and aims to bring together young adults and community members for a day of entertainment and cultural appreciation.

“This year’s event will be a real-life boogie and a real-life hoedown,” organizers said. “Don’t miss it!”
