A year of progress on the new Tyee High School has transformed the campus from a foundation into a nearly complete, state-of-the-art facility, Highline Public Schools announced this week.

Photos taken in December 2023 show the initial stages of foundation and earthwork, while an aerial image from early 2025 captures the new building in its final stages of construction (see the latest photos below).

Over the past 18 months, the project has steadily taken shape, marking a significant milestone for public education in the SeaTac area.

The school is part of the Highline School District’s commitment to modernizing educational facilities through its #KeepingOurPromise campaign. The project has been a collaborative effort involving Absher Construction Company, Integrus Architecture, Vanir Construction Management, and the City of SeaTac.

The new Tyee High School is expected to open its doors to students and staff in September 2025. The facility aims to provide a modern, inspiring learning environment that reflects the district’s dedication to public education.
